The Case Study Competition

This competition will have two rounds. The qualifying round is a pre-cursor to the case analysis required for the second round. Participating teams will need to register and submit their presentations for the first round before the deadline. Post evaluations, five shortlisted teams will be given details for the final round. In the final round, teams will need to present their case analysis to audience and judges at the event, on 13 December 2020. Each team will be provided 10 minutes to present.

Five finalists (teams) will have the opportunity to present their analysis to Mr. Praveer Sinha, CEO/ MD, Tata Power Ltd.

 

Rules:

  1. This competition is for all students across all disciplines.
  2. Teams of two are allowed to register for the event.
  3. There is no restriction on the number of teams from the same institute.
  4. Members of a team must belong to the same institute.
  5. Presentations for the first round should not exceed 3 slides.

Terms and Conditions:

The Corporate Interaction Committee, EPGP 2020-21, IIM Indore, reserves the right to modify the format and rules of the competition at any point in time.

Qualifying Round: (26 Nov'20 12:00 AM IST - 07 Dec'20 11:59 PM IST)

Infrastructure development of any country is heavily dependent on the performance of its power sector. Until a few decades ago, the Indian power sector comprised mostly of public sector entities. Followed by multiple regulatory reforms, private players entered and greatly enhanced the capacity and scope of the industry. Use the link and attached file as references to analyse the given situation and provide a 3-slide presentation.

Final Round: (10 Dec'20 03:00 PM IST - 13 Dec'20 07:00 PM IST)

Details of this round will be sent via email to five shortlisted teams. This round will comprise of case analysis and presentation.

Results:

The results will be declared in the closing ceremony of Prabodhan, held from 7:00 pm onwards on 13th December 2020.

Prizes:

Cash prizes worth Rs. 100000/- and opportunity to pursue CII certifications worth Rs. 53000/- will be given to the winning teams:
• Winning team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50000/- and the opportunity to pursue CII Supply Chain Analytics certification training worth Rs. 15000/- per person.
• The first runners up team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 30000/- and the opportunity to pursue CII Supply Chain Blockchain certification training worth Rs.6000/- per person.
• The second runners up team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20000/- and the opportunity to pursue CII Supply Chain Lean certification training worth Rs. 5500/- per person.
