Message from the Director’s Desk
Dr. Himanshu Rai

COVID pandemic has emphasized on the increasing uncertainty in the business world and that sustainable growth is the only guaranteed path to success. HR professionals and leaders will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of business organizations, enabling hange and long-term sustainability that is pivotal for realizing the vision of an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’. The importance of HR as a strategic partner is being felt across industries as human intellect becomes the major driver for sustainable transformations.

IIM Indore has always been committed to developing socially responsible leaders for the future. As a part of our constant endeavour to develop leaders and managers par excellence, IIM Indore started the one-year full time Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) in 2009 with a view to facilitate the grooming of professionals to accelerate their journey toward insightful learning and practical managerial wisdom. The EPGP is carefully crafted to arm the participants with the right skills to make a solid foundation for the leadership of tomorrow. Keeping the tradition of exploring new vistas of managerial excellence and creating symbiotic collaborations between scholarship and practice, the EPGP Corporate Interaction Committee is back with the eighth edition of Prabodhan, the annual flagship HR and Leadership conclave.

With “Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Developing a sustainable and selfreliant economy” as the theme for this year, the event will witness some of the nation’s leading professionals and strategic think tanks in attendance, as they come together to chart out a road map to steer the nation ahead on its path to achieve this vision. I congratulate the EPGP participants and staff members for this initiative and wish them the very best. I take immense pleasure in inviting you to experience this event that celebrates the essence of leadership and HR management.

Message from the EPGP Chair
Dr. Saumya Ranjan Dash

The concept of Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan drives home the need for fundamentally strong policies that reinvigorate the competitiveness of the Indian economy and help solidify India’s position in the global value chain. The vision emphasizes the importance of a self-reliant India, that is open and connected with the rest of the world, yet is resilient and focused on local capacity-building. ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ offers a road map to enable structural reforms that are inclusive and lead to sustainable growth and encourage active participation by the Indian economy and Indian business organizations in the post-covid global supply ecosystem.

At “Prabodhan”, an event organized by the 2020-21 batch of the one year full-time Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management ( EPGP) of IIM Indore, we hope to start the dialog to build not only a self-resilient, but self-sustaining economy. The theme for the event is “Aatmanirbhar Bharat: building a sustainable and self-reliant economy”. Various activities, such as panel discussion, leaders talk, quizzes, etc. will revolve around the same. The event has been in light for the last eight years, and we have had the privilege to host the best of the best visionaries of our country. I sincerely look forward to your gracious participation in the 8th edition of Prabodhan.
